BankAmerica, facing a crucial year in its battle to return to profitability, has reshuffled its public relations department without really changing much.
The bank announced that John J. Keane, 42, a vice president, has been given new responsibilities as deputy director of corporate communications but will remain as director of corporate public relations. Four other vice presidents, Cynthia Kasabian, 30, Shirley Norton, 44, Jeff Skov, 44, and Arthur Miller, 42, also got new duties and retained their old ones.
Ronald E. Rhody, director of corporate communications, announced his resignation from the San Francisco-based bank last summer but changed his mind and has stayed on as head of the department.
