Bruce Kimball of Ann Arbor, Mich., battling strong, gusty winds, won the men’s platform competition at the Pan Am Clipper Cup diving meet at Honolulu.

Kimball, a 1984 Olympic silver medalist, scored straight nines on two of his 11 dives.

Kent Ferguson of Boca Raton, Fla., won the men’s springboard.

In the women’s competition, Wendy Wyland of Boca Raton, Fla., won the platform and Kelly McCormick of Columbus, Ohio, won the springboard.
