The Ritz-Carlton will turn the switch on 75,000 holiday lights today at 4 p.m. to begin the resort’s participation in the local Toys for Tots campaign.
The public is invited to share in the free ceremony, which also will feature the lighting of a 40-foot Christmas tree to the accompaniment of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band.
Christmas carolers also will perform at the hotel, which will display holiday decorations from 50 different nations.
The Ritz-Carlton will be one of south Orange County’s Toys for Tots centers, where the public can drop off toys for local charities.
Those agencies will distribute the donated toys as Christmas gifts to needy children. The resort is at 33533 Ritz-Carlton Drive.
