One comment for Adm. C.A.H. Trost (“Navy’s Role in Persian Gulf,” Letters, Nov. 17). If naval decisions are made by “hundreds of experienced and knowledgeable Navy professionals” it is impossible to understand how they would permit U.S. vessels to enter the Persian Gulf without minesweeping capabilities.
