USIU Women Golfers Finish in Tie for 7th
Eva Dahllof of Oklahoma State, in seventh place after two rounds, shot a final-round 72 Wednesday to win the individual championship of the UCLA Desert Golf Tournament at the Mission Hills Country Club in Palm Springs.
Tulsa won the 54-hole team championship with 913 strokes, two better than Arizona State. USIU (929) finished in a tie for seventh place with Oklahoma State. San Diego State (943) finished 11th.
Dahllof’s final-round score was the best of the day. It gave her a one-over-par total of 221 for the three-day tournament. The final round was played in winds that were as strong as 30 m.p.h. Second-round leader Pearl Sinn of Arizona State, shot a seven-over-par 77 in the third round and finished one shot behind Dahllof.
