SDSU’s Clayton Earns All-American Honors
San Diego State’s Matt Clayton earned All-American status by placing 21st in the NCAA men’s cross-country championships Monday at the University of Virginia’s Foxfield 10,000-meter course.
Clayton finished the 10,000-meter race in 29:55.64. Joe Falcon of Arkansas won the individual race in 29:14.97. Arkansas also won the men’s team title with 87 points and Dartmouth (119) was second.
Freshman Marc Davis, who ran at San Diego High School, finished the course in 30:49.9 to place 81st for Arizona.
