Most firms are giving their employees two paid holidays this week for Thanksgiving, according to a private survey. Of 256 employers surveyed, 73% said they are observing both Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after it as full-paid holidays this year, said the Bureau of National Affairs, a private publisher of business research. Larger companies are more likely than small to grant the extra holiday. Eight of 10 companies with more than 1,000 employees said they were including Friday as an extra holiday, while only six of 10 companies with fewer than 1,000 employees were letting their workers take Friday off with pay.
