Kenny and Marianne Rogers have filed a $10-million suit against Bash, Gesas and Co. alleging mismanagement and exorbitant fee-charging by the entertainment industry accounting and management firm. The couple allege that the firm failed to properly investigate potential investments and caused them tax problems by filing forms that were “incorrect, improper and misleading.” However, a statement issued by the firm denied the Rogers’ claims, saying instead that Bash, Gesas and Co. extended $600,000 in credit to Rogers--a client from 1972 to 1985--to help Rogers recover from “a number of disastrous financial transactions,” including the purchase of an Arabian horse ranch, several jet planes, luxury automobiles, a yacht and a multimillion-dollar residence. Rogers, the statement said, had reduced the debt to under $500,000 when he recently suspended payments.
