Ashcraft and Ogilvie Baja 1000 Winners
ENSENADA, Mexico — The team of Dan Ashcraft and Bruce Ogilvie was the overall winner of the Presidente Sauza SCORE Baja 1000, which ended here Saturday.
Ashcraft of Mira Loma and Ogilvie of Riverside, both former Baja 1000 winners, covered the 689-miles of rough, muddy Baja terrain in 12 hours 2 minutes 14 seconds on their Honda motorcycle, averaging 57.239 m.p.h.
The first four-wheel vehicle to finish was driven by Bob Gordon of Orange. His time was 13:15:04.
The race began in Ensenada Friday morning. Because racers were still on the course late Saturday, official results will not be available until today.
