Sammis Co. of Irvine and Copley Real Estate Advisors of Boston, joint venture partners, have received the approval of the Oxnard City Council to proceed with a $300-million industrial development to be known as the McInnes Ranch Business Center on Rice Road and Sturgis Road.
The plan includes 3.5 million square feet of building space to serve large and small industrial users requiring manufacturing, warehouse and distribution facilities. Construction will begin next year.
Another Sammis-Copley project under way in the Oxnard area is the 65-acre Sammis Business Center at the southwest corner of Rice Road and the Ventura Freeway, planned for a hotel, restaurant and offices.
The partners also have plans for a 60-acre Del Norte Industrial Park to provide warehouse and manufacturing space south of the Ventura Freeway and east of Rice Road.
