UCSD Shuts Out Whittier in Women’s Soccer

Heather Mauro and Stephanie Savoy scored two goals each as the UC San Diego women’s soccer team ended its regular season with a 5-0 victory over Whittier Tuesday at UCSD.

Savoy also had an assist, and Theresa Schwaar added a goal and three assists. It was the 11th shutout for UCSD (14-4-2).

UCSD, ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division III, will play the winner of Saturday’s St. Thomas-St. Mary’s of Minnesota game in St. Paul, Minn., Sunday in the final of West Regional.
