‘Not Just for Wimps’

With reference to your editorial, I suggest that the President forgo a couple of his nonpolitical flights to California which cost the taxpayers about $2 million or more dollars each, considering the entourage that must accompany him.
Poor little Shasta County would have the funds it needs to keep its doors open. No wonder today’s young people lack incentive or accessibility to acquire more knowledge when many hard-pressed library systems just cannot enlarge, improve, or--in this case--maintain their vital services to the community.
The President sets a poor example of frugality.
