UC San Diego Ties Pomona in Soccer
SAN DIEGO — UC San Diego tied Cal Poly Pomona, 1-1, in a women’s soccer match Friday at UCSD that ended after two scoreless 15-minute overtime periods.
Stephanie Savoy scored four minutes into the second half for UCSD (13-3-2), which is ranked second in NCAA Division III. Amy Johnson scored at the 63-minute mark for Pomona (10-4-1).
UCSD will conclude its season at home against St. Mary’s College Sunday at noon.
UC San Diego’s ninth-ranked water polo team lost to defending national champion Stanford, 11-5, Friday at UCSD. UCSD is 12-10.
