Roger Staubach, former quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, said he is considering running for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Lloyd Bentsen (D-Tex.) in 1994.
Staubach, 45, who retired from pro football in 1979, said that if he ran, it would be as a Republican against Bentsen, but he would wait until the end of the three-term Democrat’s next term before making a decision.
