Dolly Parton’s ratings-declining variety show has added a new member to its creative staff. Nick Vanoff (“The Perry Como Show,†“The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hourâ€) joins executive producer Sandy Gallin and his longtime associate, producer Don Mischer, in an as-yet-untitled position. An ABC spokesman said that Mischer had wanted Vanoff on staff from the beginning but that Vanoff had prior commitments. The ABC variety show has dropped from fifth to 27th place in the ratings since its Sept. 27 debut.
