MSI 2nd-Quarter Profits Jump by $1 Million Over ’86 Period
MSI Data posted earnings of $1.2 million for its fiscal second quarter, a sharp increase from the $209,000 earned in the comparable period a year ago. Revenues for the quarter ended Sept. 26 were $22 million, a 36% increase from the $16.2 million reported last year.
For the first six months of the company’s fiscal year, MSI earned $2 million, contrasted with a $400,000 profit last year. Revenues increased to $42.6 million from $31.6 million.
The company said the revenue and earnings gains are attributable primarily to introduction of new products and signing up large accounts.
