2 Accused of Murder in Drug-Overdose Death
Two men authorities said provided heroin and cocaine to a Lake View Terrace woman who died of a drug overdose were charged Wednesday with murder.
Todd Lewis Doty, 20, of Van Nuys and Alberto Rios Moreno, 65, of Burbank are charged with supplying and administering the drugs that caused the death of Debra T. Rosenberg, 31. Rosenberg was found unconscious about 6:30 a.m. Sunday at her home, Los Angeles County Deputy Dist. Atty. Jeffrey G. Gittler said.
The two are accused of supplying and mixing the drugs and injecting them into Rosenberg, Gittler said.
Rosenberg met Doty several months earlier at a drug rehabilitation center and began seeing him regularly, Gittler said. Moreno apparently was an acquaintance, he said.
Doty and Moreno are being held in County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail each.
