Top-10 Fugitive of County Caught
One of San Diego’s top 10 fugitives was apprehended Tuesday afternoon by officers from several county law enforcement agencies, two months after a warrant was issued for his arrest, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
Thomas Robert Jerecki, 28, was arrested around 1:15 p.m. when he attempted to escape from officers while he was working on a truck near Valley Rim and Siesta Calle in El Cajon, Robinson said.
Officers from the San Diego and El Cajon Police departments, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and the California Department of Corrections surrounded Jerecki and placed him under arrest in connection with an August kidnaping and armed robbery.
Jerecki was jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail.
