Irvine : Woman’s Body Found by Trash Pickup Crew
A county work crew, clearing trash along Bonita Canyon Road on Wednesday afternoon, discovered the badly decomposed body of a young woman, apparently dumped alongside the road, Police Lt. Michael White reported.
The body, that of a woman in her 20s, was found on an embankment about 15 yards off the roadway, just west of Coyote Canyon Road, White said.
There was no identification with the body, he said. The county coroner’s office plans to perform an autopsy this morning to determine the cause of death, he said, but that agency and Irvine police are investigating the case as an apparent homicide.
