Costa Mesa : Cosmetic Firm Worker’s Mate Sought in Holdup
Police are looking for James Patrick Matthews, 35, suspected of robbing his wife and another employee at gunpoint early Saturday at the regional headquarters of Mary Kay Cosmetics.
Matthews, of Westminster, was allowed inside the office at 3500 Hyland Ave. by the two women at 2 a.m., police said. Matthews pulled a pistol, robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled after tying up the women. No one was hurt.
Police have issued an all-points bulletin in the western United States. Matthews is said to frequent the San Francisco area.
Matthews should be considered “armed and dangerous,†authorities said. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Detective Sam Zuorski at (714) 754-5205.
