Orange County Community College Roundup : Cypress Loses in Water Polo, 11-4
Palomar’s water polo team defeated Cypress, 11-4, Tuesday at Cypress to improve its Orange Empire Conference record to 3-0. Dan Walsh scored twice for Cypress, and Terry Kimberling and Kurt Randolph each added goals. The Chargers are winless in conference play.
In Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer action:
Cypress 1, L.A. Harbor 1--Steve Buzzetta helped the Chargers (0-0-2, 1-3-2) to their second conference tie with a goal early in the second half. It was Buzetta’s eighth goal in six games. L.A. Harbor is 0-1-1.
Rancho Santiago 2, Orange Coast 0--The Pirates were beaten on first-half goals by Richard Pilon and Alberto Nlagallon. OCC is 0-1-1 in conference play.
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Golden West 1, Southwestern 0--George Rojas’ first-half goal was all the Rustlers needed as they held on to defeat Southwestern and improve their record to 5-0-2.
