Wednesday Added to Lottery Drawings
SACRAMENTO — The California Lottery tonight adds Wednesday nights to its drawing schedule for the Lotto 6/49 game, which started in October, 1986, with a Saturday night drawing only.
The Wednesday drawings will be conducted the same as the Saturday drawing, with the winning numbers being selected live on television at about 7:57 p.m., lottery officials said.
Tickets purchased between the Saturday drawing and the Wednesday drawing will be good for the Wednesday drawing, and those bought between the Wednesday drawing and the Saturday drawing will be good for the Saturday drawing, said officials.
All other aspects of the game will remain the same.
“We expect greater participation in our lotto game with twice-weekly drawings because players can play their lucky numbers more often,†said Susan Clark, the lottery’s marketing director.
