Sending the Literary Brats Packing

Isn’t there something else you can write about? The Literary Brat Pack? Who cares?! Rarely have I read recently so much garbage about so much garbage. This is the new author whose work reminds us of “The Catcher in the Rye”? Has anybody bothered to reread Salinger? This new famous-for-doing-nothing trend in recent young writing is appropriately described in Vanity Fair’s review of Ellis’ recent work, as “strictly urine.” And I can’t wait for the movie of “Less Than Zero.” That should be a real thrill! Such a waste. . . .
