Manhattan Beach : Mira Costa High Honored

Mira Costa High School has been selected as a “Center for Excellence” by the National Council of Teachers of English in recognition of its “exciting and intellectually demanding programs” in that field, a spokeswoman for the school said. She said Mira Costa, which is part of the South Bay Union High School District, was one of 133 senior high schools nationwide and one of three in California receiving the honor.
