Anne Lehmann Klimke has been appointed as church school director for the Knollwood United Methodist Church. She was graduated from the University of Illinois with a master’s degree in education, emphasizing music. Among her new projects for the season will be the formation of a children’s hand-bell choir.

The church will also hold a picnic and choir rehearsal today for people interested in joining its music program, under the direction of Linda Lang. The picnic will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the church’s Adam’s Center, 12121 Balboa Blvd. in Granada Hills.

Ron McCoy will take over as pastor for Tana Chuhay at the Sherman Oaks Church of Religious Science, 13749 Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks. He came to Los Angeles from Denver in 1958 and worked as a disc jockey at KLAC. He plans to combine his background in radio and metaphysics in his teachings. His first sermon will be “It’s New Thought Time†Sunday at 11 a.m. Chuhay, with the church five years, is moving to Northern California to resume her writing career.
