Carnation Co. recalled all Bon Bons ice cream nuggets and Fruit Scoops fruit and juice nuggets nationwide after five lots tested positive for listeria monocytogenes, a potentially deadly bacteria, a spokesman said in Los Angeles. Spokesman Dick Curd said there have been no confirmed reports that the products caused any cases of listeriosis, a sometimes-severe flu-like illness. In California, the only possibly tainted product distributed was the 20-count Bavarian Mint Bon Bons, lot number 8-322-6/24-11.
