Owners of a Hollywood adult movie theater were accused by the Los Angeles city attorney’s office of violating red-light-district laws. Vanessa Place said her office is asking for a court order to force Surya Gupta, owner of Richard’s Theater in the 5200 block of Hollywood Boulevard, to take various actions to abate the public nuisance. The measures would include posting signs banning lewd conduct, installing a camera in the building’s bathroom, allowing police to carry out periodic inspections, increasing lighting and hiring a security guard.
