Books listed in this column are not necessarily recommended by The Times. The Yes-I-Can Guide to Mastering Real Estate by Steven Jay Fogel with Mark Bruce Rosin (Times Books, New York, New York 10022, 302 pages, $19.95) is a good overview of various types of property investments. It offers tips on finding and evaluating property, structuring a deal and properly managing real estate once it has been purchased. The authors say their goal is to take the mystery out of real estate investing, and the book does a good job doing so.
