A woman injured in a Korean tour bus crash almost three months ago has died in a Las Vegas hospital, bringing to eight the number of people killed in the gambling outing accident, officials said. Il Young Chung, 66, of Los Angeles, died Aug. 3 at University Medical Center from injuries in the May 20 van accident on Interstate 15 near the Nevada state line, California Highway Patrol Lt. Gary Haley said. Six people, all Korean-Americans from Los Angeles on a chartered gambling outing, were killed when the van went out of control at high speed and overturned. Another man died later. Officials said the driver, Sung Il Kim, 31, was operating the bus without a permit and had been cited for speeding and several other traffic violations. The tour company, Doremi, was ordered to cease all operations in California or face prosecution for operating without proper permits.
