The Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. announced that it will sponsor a two-hour television special on AIDS, with a 50-question format covering the origin, transmission and treatment of the fatal illness, to be broadcast Sept. 15. The commercial-free show--hosted by ABC newsman Steven Bell and actress Morgan Fairchild--will air in prime time on Fox Broadcasting (Channel 11 in Los Angeles) and Group W Television stations, covering most major markets.
