Wendy’s International income dropped sharply in the second quarter to $1.9 million from $24.3 million a year ago. Revenue was down 11%. The Dublin, Ohio-based fast-food chain opened 55 new restaurants during the quarter, and 45 company-operated restaurants in seven states were sold during the quarter. Wendy’s has reached break-even on an operational basis, so the “second quarter was a clear improvement over the first,” the company said.
