Tennessee’s Rep. Lloyd Retiring After 7 Terms

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Rep. Marilyn Lloyd, the first woman elected to Congress from Tennessee, announced Monday that she will retire next year after seven terms in office. Lloyd, 58, a Democrat, said she plans to return to the Chattanooga area to push for economic development.
