Looking Back on Independence Day
Thank you, whoever you are, for the most beautiful 4th of July sight in many years. After being the only one in my block to display the American flag on holidays for many years, it was a joyful surprise to look up and down the 100 North Formosa Avenue block and see a flag flying in every front lawn on both sides of the street.
