The late entertainer Liberace tested positive for the AIDS virus eight months before his death according to tests taken in a Las Vegas hospital, says a report released this week by the Riverside County coroner. In the weeks before the pianist died his associates repeatedly denied reports that he had AIDS, and no mention of AIDS was made on the death certificate signed by Liberace’s personal physician. The release of the coroner’s report officially ends the investigation into Liberace’s Feb. 4 death.
