Syncor International Adds 80th Commercial Pharmacy

Syncor International said its national network of commercial pharmacies now has 80 locations with the opening of a service center in Corpus Christi, Tex.
The Chatsworth-based company’s pharmacies specialize in providing drugs and other medical products to about 5,000 hospitals and clinics around the country. The company also has been expanding its presence in the home health-care market by adding centers that disperse parenteral, or intravenous, drugs used by patients at home.
Syncor said it recently added parenteral services to existing pharmacies in Columbus, Ohio, and Grand Rapids, Mich., so that 12 of its 80 pharmacies now also offer parenteral services.
