Deyo P. Breen on Tuesday was named president and chief operating officer of Covington Technologies, a Fullerton-based real estate development firm.
Breen succeeds Robert B. Fitzpatrick, who left Covington recently to pursue personal business interests, according to a prepared statement issued by the company. Fitzpatrick had been with the company since 1973 and had been president since 1980.
Breen had been senior vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer. He now serves on the company’s board of directors and operating committee. He is the third president of the company, which was founded in 1962.
Before joining Covington in 1979, Breen had been chief financial officer and group controller for Pacific Clay Products in Santa Fe Springs.
Breen and Chairman Loran D. Covington could not be reached for comment.
For the first quarter of 1987, Covington earned $69,000 on revenues of $20.9 million. Results from the second quarter haven’t been released.
Last year, Covington reported a net income of $1.9 million on revenues of $88 million.
