Cromartie Leads Giants to Japan Victory, 10-5

TOKYO — The Yomiuri Giants collected 17 hits including two doubles by Warren Cromartie, formerly with the Montreal Expos, and downed the Hanshin Tigers, 10-5, in Japanese baseball Sunday.
The Tigers’ Randy Bass, formerly with the Texas Rangers, smashed his 24th home run of the season, tops in both leagues.
