About 85 people, some complaining of nausea, were evacuated from office buildings and a restaurant near Riverside’s Mission Inn, which was being fumigated for termites. Four people were taken to a hospital for observation and released after about an hour, officials said. Riverside County fire officials said they could detect no leaks of fumigants from the 8-million-cubic-foot structure, which was covered Monday with 400 tarpaulins striped in yellow, green, orange and blue. The inn’s fumigation, part of a $40-million renovation job, is believed to be among the largest such projects ever tried in the United States.
