DOT Partnership said it may consider seeking control of Jersey City, N.J.-based Todd, the nation’s largest independent shipbuilding company, which lost an important Navy contract last month. A spokesman for Todd said the company did not have any immediate comment on the Dallas partnership stake, and that there had been no contact with the partnership. Todd operates a shipyard in San Pedro.
