Stings Hospitalize 5 as Moved Bees Go Berserk

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. — Authorities had to call in a helicopter to evacuate the victims of an attack by thousands of “berserk” bees and five people were hospitalized today with stings.
The bees attacked Sunday when apiarist Emil Wilson tried to move several hives, Hart County Sheriff Charles Lasenby said. Wilson escaped injury, Lasenby said.
