Rue McClanahan of “The Golden Girls” and William Daniels of “St. Elsewhere” will be seen as a married couple in “The Little Match Girl,” a movie for NBC. Also starring in the Hans Christian Andersen story is Keshia Knight Pulliam, who plays Rudy on “The Cosby Show.” The film will be seen around Christmas.
Brothers David and Robert Carradine are teamed in “I Saw What You Did,” a suspense drama being made for CBS. Robert plays a disturbed man who is stalking two girls (Tammy Lauren and Shawnee Smith) whom he believes saw him commit a murder; David is his less-troubled brother.
Marion Ross and Shelley Berman are starring in an “ABC Afterschool Special” about a local boy, Brad Silverman, whom the producers believe to be the first Down’s Syndrome victim to go to college. Silverman, who attends Pasadena College, will be played as a teen-ager by Casey Martel; Ross and Berman portray his parents.
Ben Gazzara and Connie Sellecca are cast as husband and wife in NBC’s “Downpayment on Murder,” a TV movie that will be broadcast next season. In it, Gazzara hires a hit man (G. W. Bailey) to kill his wife. David Morse (“St. Elsewhere”) plays a detective investigating the case.
