Great Holiday at Inns
Holiday Inns is offering a Summer Great Rates program that can get you a room for $29, $39 or $49 a night at more than 1,000 participating Holiday Inns and Holiday Inns Crowne Plaza hotels.
Occupancy of the room is up to the discretion of the individual hotel, but no more than four people is the general rule, according to a Holiday Inns spokesperson.
Rooms are available for weekends and weekdays, but you do have to guarantee your reservation at least seven days in advance with a major credit card or a cash deposit. The program ends Sept. 6.
Meanwhile, the chain is continuing its regular Great Rates program, which offers at least a 20% discount. But hotels won’t be offering both programs concurrently, so find out which program the hotel is honoring when you book the room.
Hotels with Great Rates tend to emphasize weekends, the Holiday Inns spokesperson said, and there is no cut-off point for the plan.
Both programs are on a space-available basis. Contact travel agents or Holiday Inns at (800) HOLIDAY.
Stouffer Hotels also is offering a family-oriented program. Up to four members of a family (children under 18) can share a room at 24 Stouffer hotels for $59 through Sept. 13. Reservations are required.
In addition, children under 12, accompanied by an adult, can select any item from the children’s breakfast or dinner menus at no cost.
A separate program, other than the summer promotion, offers a U.S. Savings Bond, starting with a $100 bond for three nights, if you stay at any of the Club Floors available at a majority of Stouffer hotels.
The three nights don’t have to be consecutive. This programs ends Dec. 30. Club Floors offer complimentary continental breakfasts, private lounges and special in-room features.
Check with your travel agent or call Stouffer Hotels at (800) HOTELS 1.
Another perk--a Hertz car rented for two weekend days will get you a third day free. Use of a child’s safety seat is complimentary.
Reservations are required for all promotions and cars, with rooms on a capacity-controlled basis.
