NATO Chief Fined $107 for Careless Driving

DOVER, England — NATO Secretary General Lord Carrington has been fined $107 here for careless driving after his car collided with a truck.
A magistrates court heard Friday that a car being driven by the chief official of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization veered to the wrong side of the road in the southern port of Dover. Carrington, a former British foreign secretary, pleaded guilty in a letter to the court.
