POP SPIRITUALITY

I’ve just read, with shock and dismay, Hilburn and Willman’s frightening expose on religion in rock. I had no idea this folly on stilts was so pervasive!
How can I, a practicing secular humanist (haven’t got it down yet), trying to raise my children agnostic in a country purportedly advocating freedom of--and from--religion, prevent them from being exposed to, and perhaps swayed by, these perfidious and insidious deity-worshippers?
Can’t record companies apply stickers or warning labels informing us, before we buy, that a record could contain religiously explicit lyrics?
Maybe I should call some congressmen’s wives. . . .
