POP SPIRITUALITY
As a Christian and music lover, I found the article on spirituality in pop music accurate and very interesting.
For some reason, a few fans and especially critics criticize an artist or group just because they express their faith in a song. This is very hard for me to understand, since the average person is constantly asking about and searching for God and the meaning of life.
Groups like U2, the Alarm and Lone Justice sing what real Christianity is about: love and concern for the poor, the oppressed, the prisoner and the widow and the orphan. Christianity is a deep faith, acted out by helping and loving those around us, not some slick TV show asking for more money.
