FILM TRANSFERS

Marvin Jones’ letter in Saturday Letters of June 6 almost set the record straight on the first movies shot on video and transferred to film.
The following, which were in black-and-white, were direct video to film, in the correct order of production: “Hamlet”; “The TAMI Show”; “Harlow”; “The TNT Show.”
“Give ‘Em Hell, Harry,” which was in color, was shot in video and transferred to film. I think you will find the above accurate, as I was either film recording supervisor and/or post-production supervisor on all the films mentioned.
