U.S. Junior Team Will Play Exhibition July 15
LAWRENCE, Kan. — The U.S. Junior Men’s World Championship team will play an exhibition game against former Kansas basketball players on July 15, Jayhawk Coach Larry Brown said.
Brown coaches the junior team, which will compete in world competition July 23-30 in Bormio, Italy.
A 12-member team will be picked from among 18 players invited to tryouts beginning July 7 at Kansas.
Former Kansas players who have indicated they will play in the exhibition game include Mark Turgeon, Cedric Hunter, Greg Dreiling, Calvin Thompson, Ron Kellogg and Carl Henry.
