WASHINGTON — Vice President George Bush will join Defense Secretary Caspar W. Weinberger in a military review Monday honoring the retiring uniformed leaders of the Army and Marine Corps, the Pentagon said Thursday.
The ceremony at Ft. Myer, Va., will include the presentation of the Defense Distinguished Service Medal to Army Chief of Staff John A. Wickham Jr. and Marine Commandant Paul X. Kelley.
Each general has served as the top military leader of his respective service since 1983 and by law must retire on June 30.
