Federal Building Improvements: The House Public Works and Transportation Committee has approved $179,000 for the design of improvements to the Federal Building at 34 Civic Center Drive. The money will pay for design of a fire sprinkler system on the second through ninth floors and other safety improvements. Money for the actual work, estimated at $1.4 million, will be requested later.
