The nonprofit organizer of the Renaissance Pleasure Faire filed for reorganization this week under Chapter 11 of the federal Bankruptcy Code, but a spokesman said the Living History Centre in Novato, Calif., will have no problems paying creditors. The Renaissance Pleasure Faires are held in Novato, about 30 miles north of San Francisco, and in Agoura, near Los Angeles, each year. The spokesman called the filing a “technicality” that would allow the Living History Centre time to refinance a loan on its 240-acre site in Novato.
